Six things people ask us most. If you have one that isn't here, email us and we'll answer in a day or two.
Can I use these commercially? Are they royalty-free?
Yes. The moment your payment clears, you have the right to use these samples in anything you want, free or paid. Your songs, beats you sell to clients, sync placements, podcasts, the score for your friend's short film, all of it. No reporting. No royalties.
What you can't do: resell the samples themselves as a sample pack, give them away as a free download, or use them to train an AI model. Those are the only lines. The full terms are on the Sample License page.
What format are the files?
24-bit, 48 kHz, stereo WAV. They drop into any DAW (Ableton, Logic, FL, Reaper, Pro Tools, anything else) on Mac, Windows, or Linux. No special installer, no plugin needed. Just unzip and drag in.
Do the loops come as stems or separate channels?
No. Loops ship as stereo (L/R) bounces only. The reason is simple: that's the sound Dan finished. The drive, the tape, the room are all baked in, and that's the character you're buying.
If you want full control, every pack also includes the individual one-shots (kick, snare, hat, perc). You can rebuild any beat from scratch and process each drum your own way.
I lost my downloads. New computer, or the email never arrived.
Open your account, enter the email you bought with, and we'll send a fresh sign-in link. Once you're in, every pack you've ever bought is right there to download again. There's no limit on how many times you redownload, and your access doesn't expire.
If the sign-in email never lands, check your spam folder first, then email us with the address you bought with and we'll sort it out.
What is “LEMONSQUEEZY” on my card statement?
That's our payment processor, Lemon Squeezy. They handle the charge, the tax, and your receipt; we handle the packs. So one purchase gives you two emails: the receipt from Lemon Squeezy (noreply@lemonsqueezy.com), and the download link from us (hello@mayodrummer.com). Both are normal.
Do I get the Yak Delay plugin? How do I install it?
The Yak Delay (by Safari Pedals) is a perk of the Everything Bundle only, not the individual packs.
If you bought the bundle, your serial number is on your account, along with the activation steps and a button to download the plugin from Safari Pedals. If you run into trouble activating it, the Safari Pedals team handles plugin support directly, you can email them.
